Hello from Iowa

Hello everyone,

My name is Scott. I am located in Central Iowa. I have owned a Brinkman Pit Master smoker for about 15 years. I use it probably 7 or 8 times a year, mostly in the spring and fall. My wife and I are avid golfers thus the reason why I am smoking only a few times each year. I have started smoking a little more the last couple of years as my golf scores go up and my sore back gets sorer. My smoking over the years has been mostly trial & error with very little direction. I have turned out some very good ribs, pork loins, chickens and prime ribs in the past but after browsing the forum here I think with a little help and guidance I can do much better. I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes I have seen on this forum.
Please be patient with me because I will probably ask some stupid questions.

Brian I think I would fit in with your 4-some really well. You will notice my 3 favorite sports are golf, foosball, and smoking. There is one condimint that goes real sell with all 3..........beer.

Walking Dude, thanks for the butt info, I will check it out. I have a butt in the freezer right now but it wouldn't hurt to have 2 butts in the freezer.

A get together would be fun.
