Hello all,
I'm more of a sausage maker than a BBQ smoker, but I do some smoking. I grew up in Michigan, but am now a "Damn Yankee" ( one who came to Texas, and didn't go back!!), been her 26 years now. I have a MES that I use for ribs and brisket, started out with the "Cajun smoker" who I think was one of the first bullet smokers, and it worked very well, had many a Thanksgiving Turkey from it. I used to have a Oklahoma Joe's smokers, but I went on a fishing
trip, and the wife sold it at a garage sale while I was gone....for $40 no less, DOUBLE DOH!!
For doing sausage, I use a Torrey grinder seen below, it doesn't take long to do a box of butts with it!!
And for smoking the sausage, I use a stainless hot box that I converted for smoking sausage.
I just did my first pulled pork today, and I will post up pictures in the "Pork" section.
Nice site by the way, lots of good info.
Dave
