SW Michigan
Holland, Michigan that is. We are in the SW corner of the state on the sandy shores of Lake Michigan. I've been a Q nut for quite a while and enjoy everything involved with it. We have 6 or 7 State Comps. (KCBS) and I try to make most of them. I am a KCBS CBJ and was able to judge 5 events this past summer. Next summer I should be able to complete my Master BBQ judge requirements. So far I have never entered a comp. but who knows. This past July I did 100# of pork for a freinds wedding reception. I worried about taste and timing but it worked out great.
I belong to several forums and enjoy them all. Always looking for that new idea, recipe or suggestion. Great things always seem to come from the most unexpected source!
Besides BBQ I enjoy making sourdough breads - no bread machine in my house. The very best part of my life is my 4 grandchildren.
