Hello new member and new to smoking as well. I am located in Georgia and recently purchased a new 30 inch electric Masterbuilt Smokehouse Smoker. I have only had a chance to use it two times and have had mixed results. I have watched tons of videos and tried to learn from what was in the videos. I can say that just as there are numerous different smokers there are also numerous opinions on how to smoke different meats. So I think all in all it will just be a learning game for me. My biggest problem mistake thus far was trying to smoke too much and too many different types of meats at once. So...lesson learned. I am here looking and reading also trying to pick up some pointers. I read somewhere where on of the best things for me to look into is some type of box that you burn pellets in where the smoke lasts a lot longer and is more set and forget. Is this true? Any info or tips or whatever will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
