Hey everyone.

Newbie smoker here.  A few of my family members have used smokers (wood) to cook brisket and ribs for years, and I became interested about a year ago.  I got a great deal on a Big Easy electric smoker and used that for a few smokes.  Now I've upgraded to a 30" MES and I love it.  I live in the burbs so the electric smokers are more convenient for me.  I used these forums a lot for my first smokes, so I decided to join.

I'm a fan of most meats, but my favorites are brisket, pulled pork, and bbq chicken.  I am 28, live near Fort Worth, TX, and just bought my first house back in September.

Now that I've got a few smokes under my belt, I hope to start smoking once or twice a month.  I'll be browsing the forums for ideas.

Colinx,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it then smoked it.

Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with their opinion on the subject.

Always remember the only dumb question is the one you don’t ask!!
GO BUCKS!!
Keep Smokin!!!
