Kathleen Florida
Greetings from the land of newly weds and nearly deads...My name is Bill I live in Kathleen Florida which is nestled between Tampa and Disney. I have lived here all of my life. I currently own a Green Mountain pellet grill (Daniel Boone) and really like it I have had it two years and I installed a Smoke Daddy, that I also really like. I will cook on anything from an open fire to dutch ovens, but I like the smoker the best of all. I came accross this site by the use of Google, and I get almost all of my recipies from this site or my dog earred BBQ cook-book. The first thing I tried from this site was the cranberry brined turkey. I was a little shocked at the nice shade of pink it was when it came out of the brine. But it cooked nice and brown and was very good. Hope to learn a whole lot more......

LMAO if ya want a REALLY pink turkey add some red food coloring to the brine. I did that for a cranberry brined turkey I smoked. My BIL(brother in law) refuses to eat pink turkey meat even though the pink tinge is from the cure and smoke, so I made a REALLY pink turkey.

My youngest son looked at the pink turkey out of the brine and just said whaaaat! But he had no problem eating it.....I will be at the gathering, I live in central Florida but have a place on Lake Seminole Georgia and will happen to be on vacation during that time, so I will see y'all there....
