Hi all,

Just joined the other day and have already had some great answers from people.  Thank you so much!  Bought my first smoker last night and worked on getting ready today.  Bought the Brinkmann cheap one for $40.  Since I have never smoked before, I wanted to go cheap until I get a good handle on what I am doing.  Thanks!

Not a darn thing wrong with that smoker.  Many of us have learned on the ECB and still have a couple in our stable for when our larger smoker is full.  Congrats on the smoker and don't forget the Qview when you do your first smoke.

First off welcome to SMF there John. What part of Florida for there are alot of Fla folks here. I'm Jacksonville. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
