I have always liked to cook. I'm pretty good on the grill and many of my friends think many of my "creations" on the grill are the best. Not sure if that is the case, but I really like to cook things that involve a process. The more involved and the longer it takes the better. That being the case, smoking meat sounds like it is right up my alley. I don't know a lot about smoking at this time so I am just learning. I was looking for the pdf file about how to build a smoker out of a 55 gallon barrel but I can't find it. If anyone can help with that I would appreciate it. I am smoking some ribs today using my grill and indirect heat. Looking forward to the process today and also learning more about smoking meats here on this forum.

Glad you joined us, welcome to SMF !!!

There are few here that have made UDS barrel smokers. I am confident one of them will be here shortly to aim you in the right direction.

Welcome to the smf. Lots of nice folks here to help answer your questions about building your smoker. I have some good friends living in El Reno just south of you on 81.
