Hello From Eastern Iowa

  1. Hi everyone. I am relatively new to smoking. I have done a little in the past with a sub-par smoker. Friday I borrowed a friends and made some pork loin. Saturday I smoked brats. Sunday I ordered my new smoker. It will be here Wednesday. I can't wait. I bought one large enough to make anything I want yet small enough to throw in the truck to take with us camping. I have been looking through many of the forums on here today and can't wait to try some of the things I have been reading about.

  4. One Eyed Jack, I ordered the Iron Chef Junior. For the price I couldn't justify the box store ones. It will be here tomorrow so I will season it tomorrow night and be smoking on Saturday.

    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...

  7. Gary, this is from the smoker I borrowed. pork loin done at 190 degrees for about 5 1/2 hrs.
