I just wanted to introduce myself, My name is Gary and I am from Culpeper Va. I am a 25 year old male who got his first smoker last christmas, a brinkman gourmet smoker, and just recently picked up a chargriller with the side fire box with the hopes of getting some mods done soon. I have used this site as my smoking bible and just wanted to thank everyone for the great recipes and tips. I look forward to meeting everyone and happy smoking.

Thanks,
Gary

Its always nice to have lurkers finally show up and join the fun first hand.

I lurk on a bunch of sites, especially the ones that are out of control. This site is different as you know if you lurked any length of time at all. We are family and its nice when the shy ones finally speak up. We can all add something to the mix which is why the archives on SMF truly are a bible of the fine art of smoking meat.

Lots of helpful stuff in this link for the newbies.
