Hello to all.

I'm Gerald and rather new to smoking.

My loving wife got me a ECB about 5 years ago for fathers day. The first test run was a such a disaster that it sat in the shed until 6 months ago.

I could not get it hot or stay lit. So I converted it to electric and started out simple......

Now after:
1 Whole Chicken
Spare Ribs
2 large Colorado trouts (the best so far)
Beef short ribs (slightly under smoked and over temped)

I'm hooked and crave smoking....but my wife keeps me under control....kind of.

Got to run, need to prep two chickens for today...my wife's request.

Greetings 'Gerald', and Welcome to the 'community'.

Enjoy your stay at
SMF
Settle in and have fun.
Any questions, plenty of experts... and make yourself at home.

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics...

Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

How to post Qview to Forum:

Welcome to the site Gerald, good to see you are hooked. Long as you keep smoking good and keeping the wife happy with it all will be fine.

Thanks guy.

We live in Fort Collins and love it here.

The only problem with smoking is my wife is a little is impatient...not a good combination with smoking.

But I'm working on that, and with the her request of the chickens for tonight I think she is coming to light (smoke).

I hope to learn a lot from here.

Thanks guys.

Gerald
