Hi,

I smoke in Loveland, CO at about 5,000 elevation.  I use an ugly drum, 55 gallon home made smoker after using a weber kettle grill.  I really like the ugly drum and have been using it for about 2 years.  Only problem I've had with it was smoking a turkey at 8,000 feet.  Was hard to get the temp high enough for long enough.   I also am an avid home brewer and stumbled on to the site looking for info on PID temp controllers as I am putting together a electric brewing set up.  Great info on the PID controller.   Thanks!!

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.
