My name is Monte, I live in Colorado Springs, and just recently inherited a char griller smoker. My dad gave this web address and told me to check it out. I'm interested primarily in smoking beef and pork, with an occasional chicken.

I'm new to this so I'm kinda feeling around to see what everybody uses for fuel (wood or charcoal) what type of fuel (kind of wood/charcoal) and what type of smoke is best. I would also like to know more about the smoker I just inherited. Like I mentioned earlier it's a char griller with the wood box on the side. adjustable fire grates on the main cooking area.

So any help would be great.

Can't wait to fire this thing up and see what she does.

Thanks

Monte
