I just found these forums today as I'm sitting here with a brisket out of my Bradley that's FTC right now. I started just after midnight with the outside temps @ 15 degrees. The Packer's game will be all the tastier. Anyway, I'm in the mood to buy a gas smoker & I began browzing related forums & I really like what I see here, no matter what smoker I'm operating. I built a UDS a year ago with very tastey results. My Brad works ok, out in its own smokehouse in the screened in porch, but I have to admit that I hate all that sawdust. So, here I am looking at gas smokers .... we can all atest the addiction of one is not enough !

I have the Master Forge LPG 2 door unit Lowe's sells. For the price it's a great unit. worth checking out. LINK

This is the newer model Lowe's is selling I have not seen this unit up close yet so can't say it's the same unit. It has a side shelf and says can be used with gas or charcoal. LINK

I'm a newbie myself to the forum, having said that, I've been smokin foods for 20+ years, and believe me, its an addiction, and you just have to have more than one smoker !

Ahmen

ps. Then theres the Grinder, Slicer, Stuffer, not to mention the numerous stainless steel bowls, other gadgets, and all sorts of spices, and woods, and etc etc.

Go for it !

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.
