Been lurking this site for over a year and finally decided to join. I have tried several recipes from here and all are worth it. Look forward to sharing some qview in the future. Currently have an electric Brinkman but will soon be adding a side firebox to an old square charbroil grill. Will keep you posted on that project. Until then, keep up the qview. I like pix...

Welcome to the smf .... glad you quit lurking and jumped on in

I'm not geographically sound with the state of Missouri but have family that lives in 2 small towns; Salisbury (closest town is Columbia), and Neosho (closest town is Joplin).

WELCOME!!

Welcome to the forum. There are lots of friendly folks around here with tons of knowledge and ideas. Just browse through the threads and check out anything that catches your eye. Be sure to throw your two cents in anytime you can. Glad you quit lurking, it sounds so diabolical.

Hello there from Sedalia, I just started about a week or 2 ago and have stumbled into buying a "Silver Smoker" and helped with a successful first attempt at "Smoking a Fattie?" It still can be improved upon or at least we are going to try some more. It seems that in our family eating comes with the genes (Jeans?).

Thanks everyone. I've been lurking long enough to know this place is like a big family. I signed up for the 5 day course yesterday, which prompted me to join the forum. Glad I did.

Oh, unfortunately I am only able to visit during my lunch hour and occasionally at home. So, sorry it took so long to get back to everyone.

I too am from Jeff City and love it here. As for the Zesto cone, good choice. They also have some decent bbq. Not as good as mine though.

Smoked a couple of fatties over the weekend for an appetizer at my daughters bday party (sorry no pix). Everyone loved them. One plain and one stuffed with colby jack cheese.

So long until tomorrow....

Welcome aboard trollin! Spent the first half of my life in SE MO, military has planted me in FL. Great people in here with a ton of info to share!
