  1. Hello there. I am so glad that I found this forum! I have been working on improving my outdoor cooking skills all my life. I grew up with some great Boy Scout leaders and translated some of the things that I learned from them into my adulthood.

After I got married and became a Scout leader myself, I finally convinced my wife to support my desire with my first dutch oven. About that time we also smoked our first turkey. Now, some 20+ years later! I have three dutch ovens and a Char Griller with the off set fire box.

This last weekend I tried my hand at a second smoked ham. Oh my gosh! That was a really good ham!!

I am looking forward to learning all kinds of things from the members of the forum.
  2. Welcome Allen, to the forum, lots of great information and super good people here, can't wait to see some post and pictures, One of the Moderator's is a Scout Leader (Dutch) so ya'll have a lot to talk about.
