Hello there. I am so glad that I found this forum! I have been working on improving my outdoor cooking skills all my life. I grew up with some great Boy Scout leaders and translated some of the things that I learned from them into my adulthood.

After I got married and became a Scout leader myself, I finally convinced my wife to support my desire with my first dutch oven. About that time we also smoked our first turkey. Now, some 20+ years later! I have three dutch ovens and a Char Griller with the off set fire box.

This last weekend I tried my hand at a second smoked ham. Oh my gosh! That was a really good ham!!

I am looking forward to learning all kinds of things from the members of the forum.
