Hello,

As  you can see my name is Terry.  I am very new to smoking......havent even picked up my smoker yet but ive decided on the Master Forge Double Door Propane.  From what ive read on the forums here and elsewhere (ive spent about a week reading reviews and forums and stuff) that this seems to be the best entry level smoker for the money - up here it costs about $180 - im just waiting to hear from my boss to see if im working today before i trek an hour down to my nearest lowes to pick it up - im anxious wish hed call so i can get going....hahaha.....

Thank you so much for the friendly welcome.......well the MF Dual Door is all set up and seasoning as we speak........for my first smoke im going to do something easy cause its my turn to cook dinner tonight and im anxious to taste something that ive smoked so ive got some really nice butterfly pork chops soaking in some apple juice with a bit of apple cider vinegar and finish them off on the grill with a bourbon hickory bbq sauce i bought off the shelf (GASP i know off the shelf stuff eh?)......give me time :P

Wow dinner sounds great! I use the off the shelf stuff too and after we've tried it once, then decide if it's a keeper and can we doctor it up. For pork, we strictly use Gates (I just ordered a case). Anyway, don't forget the q-view, we love pics here.
