I have been lurking for a while gathering info and thought it time to join up.

About 1 1/2 years back I bought a Smokey mountain vertical smoker and everything has been great.

I am still pretty new and haven't yet tried a brisket, mostly shoulder and ribs.

I am more of a pork guy than a btrisket gut anyway.

I recently bought a Brinkman Trailmaster and started the mods needed to make it better.

I am itching to smoke a prime rib pretty soon. With all the spare the air days this year it is tough to find adequate time to smoke stuff.

Work also has made it tough to get consecutive days off. I don't want to spend that one day getting up early to tend a smoker.

I have learned much from the knowledgeable people here and many thanks to you all. Still so much to learn and that will come in time.

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.
