Just picked myself up a Brinkmann vertical charcoal smoker used for $10. I'm excited to try some new stuff. Any advice would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

Welcome, I would suggest doing a search on your smoker up in the search bar ! Seems to be some decent amount of info about them, however I don't own one so I could not give ya any info as far as personal experience. I'm sure if ya start another thread in the charcoal smokers section there will be folks who do have them that could give ya some tips / pointers !
