Hello from Bama

I am still a little new to smoking and look forward to learning more about making some great BBQ.  Until recently, I had a Charbroil smoker with a side fire box.  I was pretty successful with the Charbroil and had some good smokes.  However, I found I didn't smoke often as I didn't have the time to babysit it all day.  

After a lot of lurking on the site, as well as a lot of research, I recently ordered a MES 30 (20070910) and AMNPS.  I hope this new setup will give me as close to "set-it-and-for-get-it" as possible and will give me more opportunities to smoke more often.

Hi Brian, and welcome to the forums!  You've found the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
