Hello all -

Just bought a Brinkmann Electric smoker 3 weeks ago, and I have not been able to stay away from it on the weekends.
As I type, I'm watching the Easter ham smoke away on the deck.

I'm just a novice, but so far I have done:
3 racks of ribs, a whole 8lb salmon, steel head trout, turkey tenderloin and suprisingly some really tasty beef jerky.

I'm always looking for tips, tricks and sage advice from smoker veterans, but just wanted to drop by to say hello. Looks like a nice little community here.

Best Regards,
Paul

Welcome you'll like the site.

You're right on about the great community here. If you're like me, smoking will go WAY beyond being a hobby - it's a PASSION!!! Got a big o'l smoker that I try to fill up every time. Find myself taking a lot of grub in to my co-workers just to empty the fridge of all the leftovers so I can fill it up again! Welcome aboard, you'll love it here!

Thanks for the welcome everyone.
The Easter ham was faaannnnntastic!

I'm loving all the information I have come across so far. And there is so much more to read through!

Welcome to SMF, glad to have you with us; but most important, glad you got yourself a smoker !!! This site is endless with knowledge that is happily shared.

welcome aboard Paul glad u found us-we do all share 1 thing in commen-we like it low & slow with tbs. enjoy the site

Thank you everyone for the welcome! This place is great and I have not been able to stop reading. (Which is driving the fiance crazy. She can't keep up with all my hobbies)

I am now in search of the Thin Blue Smoke that I hear everyone talking about. I was under the false impression that the more smoke I had billowing out of the smoker, the better.

But I just wanted to stop back in and thank everyone who contributes to this site. I'm on information overload right now, and I hope that one day I can be one of the people that gives out great tips and tricks!

Best Regards,
Paul
