I am just starting out with smoking meats. Ive eaten alot of smoked salmon, but am trying it out myself with an electric smoker.

Welcome to SMF. The electric is probably the all around best for smoking fish. I used to have the Little Chief and did a lot of trout in it. Never had a bad batch.

Welcome to the jungle jpalmer! I acquired an allergy to fish in my late 20's so I don't smoke fish unless it is for someone else but that is the only time I use my Big Chief. But I can eat shellfish all day long so all is not lost!
