howdy everyone. i've been a casual looker for the past few months and it's time i introduce myself to you fine people. i've always enjoyed eating bbq but never really made it until about 1 year ago after receiving a traeger lil' tex as a birthday gift. since then i've done ribs, chicken, turkey, pulled pork, abt's and other things. i do have a little chief electric smoker that has only smoked fresh caught salmon. my best friend and i use his custom built smoke house for bacon, jerky and hams. we both are still learning and have a ways to go. more recently, i followed the pulled pork instructions (pinned on this site) and it was a knock out for the 4th of july. living in oregon but my home state is georgia. boy, i don't miss the humid summers. i really appreciate the opportunity learn and (hopefully) contribute on this fine forum.
