Southern California
Well, a little about me...  I currently live in Southern California about 100 miles from Death Valley.  He have about 350 days of sun here a year and it gets hot so if I don't have to heat up the house to cook, I will do what I have to!  I was looking at possibly making a small smoke house to replace the kettle smoker I currently have.  I'm still a noob when it comes to smoking, but I've made some good stuff in the past and have had good results with hams and chickens.  I know I will find all sorts of info here and look forward to learning and tasting new things.

Welcome to SMF!  If you're in the high desert I truly understand the desire to keep the house cool.

There are lots of folks here to build their own smokers so have a ball getting ideas and designing something all yours.

Glad you're here!
