I'm new to this smoking awesomeness and am soooo exited to learn. I've done two sets of baby back ribs on my dad's electric smoker which turned out great. Then tried to smoke salmon on my grill using a smoker box. The wood chips caught fire! But the salmon was ok. Any suggestions for smoking on a gas grill?

Hello and welcome from East Texas. They make a smoke chip box for wood chip use on a gas grill, you can also wrap in heavy foil poke a few holes in the top and that works

Hey thanks for your help! That's the one I used. Not sure why it caught on fire after about 15 minutes. Maybe placement was wrong?
