Hey whats up everyone. coming to you here from Virginia. Im in northern part not to far from D.C.  Just happen to stumble across these forums doing my research on Lang smokers.  I thank all who has posted comments on them, as it swayed me to place my order for the 36 patio model.  just wished it was in my budget to get the 48 deluxe, but the shipping is steep hit.  love low and slow cookin, been at it for some years starting off on gas grills with foil pouches. Then moved on to the average cheap store offsets. Really excited about the Lang coming in a few weeks. I have only read good things about them.  Only problem is trying to figure out what to smoke for the first go round on it!  Brisket if definitely on the menu. gonna order a full prime from lobels or go all out for a snake river farms waygu.  I will be sure to post up pics of my Lang arrival as well as my many smokes to come!

thanks for the welcome. this seems like a great place. endless info indeed! looking forward to posting future pics of smokey goodness. the more i browse around the harder it gets to narrow down my first cook on my Lang! I may drop some pics and a youtube vid on the season process also, as this is vital and important. thanks again all!

Welcome Aboard!
Jealous that you are getting a Lang.  I am saving up for the Lang 48, hopefully it will make sense in a few years.  Right now working with my mid-range Old Country and SmokinTex.

This site is a great place to exchange information on smoking and a great reference tool.

Good Luck with the Lang and Smoke ON!

Wooooo HOOO!!!! My Lang 36 patio arrive early this morning.  Gonna spark it up tomorrow get it seasoned and throw on some chicken thighs, bacon wrapped chicken breast strips, and maybe few slabs ribs. I will save the brisket and butts till I get it dialed in on how it runs. more pics from first cook to follow.
