Hello All

From Northeast Nebraska.My name is Butch and like others,I have been lurking for awhile.I much appreciate the information you all are sharing.
I am new to smoking,all tho I have dabbled some.I did a pork loin last weekend that came out well.(patting my own back)

I have a Brinkman pill that was gave to me last year.After cruising around SMF,I find out I don't have a water pan with my smoker.Oh well..I do the best I can with what I have..I am thinking new smoker in the near future.I am thinking maybe some jerk pork for this weekend.
I also am a archery hunter,hence my Username "ripstik." Yes I do smoke quite a bit of venison.

I am retired and married to Satan's daughter for 47 years.

I have three grown sons with families.I also am a veteran of the USN.

Well that should get us off and running and thank you for having me.I look forward to some sweet smelling smoke.

Welcome Butch, I'm somewhat new to the forum as well, my name is Brian and I'm a firefighter down in Florida. I've been smoking for a few years now and really love it, Just got a new smoker myself a 250 gallon propane smoker mounted on my old boat trailer. I love it and try to cook for any special occasion/party we have going on.
I was in the Marine Corps. for 8 years did two tours in Iraq and then got out as a Sgt. Loved it and miss it. Well take care

First off welcome to SMF butch. Your gonna like it here cause there are alot of good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smokin. Next I think you should look up the E-course it's free and very informative and it will show you the basics of smoking. Then check this out
