Hello all,

New to the forums, just joined, wanted to say hello to everyone here. im in PA right outside philadellphia in a town called bensalem. I have 2 smokers right now. i have the charbroil smoker and i have a homemade smoker made out of a oil tank with a 20 gallon drum as the fire box (soon to be upgraded to a 50 gallon drum, the 20 too small)

I love cooking pork most of the time although i have not mastered it yet. im still new to the game and have a lot to learn. but everyone raves about my bbq ( or thier jsut being nice! HAHAHAHAHA)

look foward to talking to you all.

also is anyone going to the NJ State championships, ill be there all weekend to see what its like and will also be taking the bbq class thier offering.

Welcome to the smf Dave. Lots of nice folks on here to answer any questions you might have. Thanks for the pics of your smokers. Looks like you have plenty of room to smoke just about anything you want to. Don't forget to post your Q-view as we always like seeing some good eats.

Happy Smokin

Welcome to SMF. Good folks here to answer any questions that you may have. question to you, you say that folks say your Q is good but do they come back for more? I'll bet they do. so you Q is good and the folks will teach you how to get better, I know they have for me. I had been a so so smoker for about 18 years believe me nothing to write home about. I joined SMF last July and by Thanksgiving I was turning out great grub. in fact the whole fam damily found out and after sampling the vittles I some how got elected to be the cook for the summer family reunion be about 50 kin folk. I tried to explain that I couldn't take my electric smoker to a state park so they all decided it would be a better idea if they all come to my place. I am still hearing about that from the little lady. Yeah you stuff is good

Howdy Dave and welcome to the SMF. Looks like your smack dab in the middle of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with 2 teams in the conference finals!

Like your customized smoker!

Steve, thanks for the welcome, i will check out the qview. i do have pics of my q around. :)

FBJ : thanks , glad to be here

kratzx4: When is ay people like my q, they like it, and come back for more, but by no means am i being conceited about it, i have SOOO MUCH to learn. throwing something on a smoker and cooking it with lump wood coal is easy , now making it taste like heaven , thats a artform. and i am far from that. didnt want to sound like i was coming off all concieted. i am looking foward to spending alot of time reading through these forums and learning as much as i can. I started about 2 years ago smokin foods with my cousin and we have a blast doing it. but still dont understand how some of these guys we see on tv do it the way they do. this forum looks awsome. im glad im here. :)

lcruzen: all i can say to your comment is WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!

AHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

thanks everyone for the warm welcome.

Dave
