Hello Everyone,
Glad I found this Forum. I live in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. I have been smoking various things for about 3 years now with an electric smoker. I have never been satisfied with the quality or flavour of product. It is just ok, but not great.
Recently as the weather is changing to spring I have been thinking of getting a new wood/charcoal smoker. For me it seems this will provide the most authentic experience. I recently was looking into buying the Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical smoker and did some research her on it.
I know that I should get gaskets and charcoal/wood basket, I have 3 questions:
- With the gasket, are the latches they recommend on the smoker door really necessary?
- The black gasket the sell that is self adhering, do I need any of the high temp silicon with that?
- Is 15 feet enough to do all I need including the 2 halfs of the fire box, or should I get 2 rolls?
Really looking forward to some quality BBQ this season!.....thank in advance for any help!
