My name is Allison! I am representing the metro Detroit area! I bought my dad his first smoker 3 years ago and we have been smoking together since. Our first grill was your standard stick burner she still works great! We got a little electric guy 2 winters ago. Last winter was brutal so it's nice to just set it and go when you are snow blowing the drive every hour! We are up for anything. Signature things to cook are ribs and brisket ! We enjoy smoking because we both love to cook and it something we can do together!

Welcome to SMF Allison!  Glad you're here and love the enthusiasm.  You're a natural for this place.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forum and reading about your time well spent smoking with your Dad.

Thanks for joining!

We have a yearly get together and I hope you can make it next year.  We also have occasional cheese smokes here or there so if you can join in please do.

It’s always nice to see another Michigander here.

Hello all! It's a beautiful day here in MI. Getting the Masterbuilder fired up here to smoke to pretty little turkey breasts! We are going to use apple wood., Soaked in beer and apple cider right from the Mill. The birds are beer but style but we are using a hard cider.. We have rubbed them with honey and injected them with a bit more cider. Will lay a few slices of bacon over them and cook them low and slow. Finally we finish them off on the grill:drool

Pictures to follow!!!

Getting them in here shortly so I am ready to watch my lions play some ball! Happy Sunday all!

Welcome Allison! I grew up in Taylor but have migrated to warmer climates. Great looking birds! Oh, GO BEARS!!
