Hello to all and thank you for having me here. I am brand new to BBQ and am very excited to get started! I am interested in smoking just about anything but mostly chicken and fish to start off and wanted to experiment with artichokes?! Might sound strange but it is one of my favorite foods.

I live in San Francisco CA and just purchased a 18.5"Weber Smokey Mountain. I need to know anything from the basics, tools, prep, local resources etc...

Cheers,

SFslim

Hey

Welcome to the Smoking  forum.   You’ll find great , friendly people here, all more than willing to answer any question you may have.  Just ask and you’ll get about 10 different answers—all right.  LOL.   Don’t forget to post qviews.  I'm here to tell you, if I lived in SF, I would have Dungeness on the smoker at least once a week----sob, snivel, etc
