Hello all! Its nice to find this forum. Name is Kyle from Columbus Ohio. Ive been smoking for a few years on a Brinkman vertical propane smoker. I normally smoke ribs, pork shoulder, brisket and wings. Ive come up with great rub recipes from this site along with great tips on smoking. I finally smoked a couple of briskets this summer after being intimidated for 2 years. Your site helped me take the plunge and they came out great! I'm considering a new smoker this year. I'm tired of "babysitting" my Brinkman for 12-14 hours due to the constant temperature change. I'm looking at electric smokers such as the Masterbuilt 40" and the Bradley 6 rack. I've read smoke is different in electric smokers due to the lack of combustion/flame and causes the meat to take on a different taste. I would hate to give up taste for convenience, but something has to give. My price range is no more than $600. Im looking forward to any suggestions your members can give me. Thanks
