My brother in law, my father, and I put together a 30" RiverGrille Barrel Grill (similar to the Kingsford 30" Barrel Grill) I received as a Christmas gift. However, we are having trouble getting the lid to go over the bottom of the grill even after installing the hardware on the grill per the instructions. My father then measured the bottom part (where the charcoal and meat go) and it measured 29 3/4" while the lid measured 30". The metal seems to be real thin, and I was wondering what can be done to get the lid to close properly on the grill without having gaps on one side and closing on the other on the front and that the lid overlaps on one side and fits on the other side.  I have three options: try to fix it, call Rankam customer service (they make the grills), or take apart the grill and take it back to the store and get a refund. The grill is built like the Char-Griller grills.

If you can help me get some advice on how to fix an ill fitting lid, let me know, but buyer beware on RiverGrille Grills.
