Hi,
I am Rodger (Wildcat-smoker). I am in the process of getting a new Traeger Texas being delivered 5/3/2013. I am by no means new to smoking. I have been smoking on an old homemade, given to me by someone getting ready to take it to the dump, 3 rack, vert, cabinet style, stick burner. I had to make repairs and some alterations over the last 18 years, but it has worked well for me. I have smoked for about 20 graduatrion parties, 20-30 birthday gatherings, 5 weddings (one of which was my own sons), too many family reunions and get togethers to count, and over 18 years of smoking for my family and myself. I have loved every minute of it, have learned much, watched my children grow to adults. Watched and helped my son build his own 300 gal horizontal offset stick burner on a trailer ( he is getting ready to enter his first competition ths spring). Decided that it was time to get myself something new and nice. I will not get rid of my other smoker (old faithful), I will still use it often, but I am ready to try something new. Ready to learn another aspect of something I love. I am an avid football fan (high school, college, and pro).  Smoking, football, spending time with family, and work take up about all my time. Hope to make many new friends.
