We'll after looking at the forum for about a year now, I finally joined! I got my first smoker two years ago at a yard sale. It was a modified Brinkmann charcoal turned electric bullet smoker. With help from Jeff's cookbook I boldly ventured into the unknown. I was hooked instantly!!! I just wanted to get better and get better equipment. So, for Christmas this year my girlfriend got me a MES 30. Sunday I made my first ever brisket following Jeff's Garlic & Onion Brisket.

Amazing!!! Because of the folks I was making dinner for, I had to leave the bbq sauce off and add this at time of serving.

Like I said, I'm here to learn. I want venture into the unknown again. I want to go after All-Beef Trail Bologna or sausage. This is my smoking goal to complete in January. I've noticed how supportive all the folks in the forum are. So, thanks for all of the help I know you will all give.

Happy New Year and here's to all the new smoking challenges in 2015!
