    Hi

New to the forum, I have been looking for a ham like flavor brine for turkey or chicken for over 2 years now, I was at a party that had a turkey that tasted like this it was awesome, the breast meat looked light pink and fell off the bone, if anyone could give me a recipe or advice it would be great, I have a MES 30 in smoker, oh and by the way why is there no smoke rings on an elec smoker, thanks for any input, Jim

Hey Jim, Welcome to the SMF Family...Go over to roll call and give some more info about yourself...Pops has a brine that will get you to where you want to be...It is basic but you can add flavors you like, Maple, Brwn Sugar, Clove, whatever...JJ

Welcome to SMF jimbo -- it's a great place.

JJ and Al are right -- Pops brine is the way to go.  I use it all the time.  Friends and family are amazed at my "hammy chicken".  I tell them it's easy as can be.  They don't believe me, which is fine....there should be a bit of mystery behind how you can take palin old chicken and make it taste like ham.

    Good luck!
