Hi, my name is Vin.

For the last five years I have been smoking meat with coal BBQs. I have been thinking about getting an electric smoker for a while, so next month I plan on purchasing a MES 30.

I'm extremely happy to have found this site. I look forward to getting to know everyone on board here!

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a cold and snowy day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Hello and welcome to the site. I started smoking about a year ago on my MES30 and love it. Some people have had trouble with the temp sensors being off and that is something you have to keep an eye on, but I have been very happy with mine. I use a Maverick to keep an eye on things and have had good smokes with it. Good luck and Happy smokin', David.

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Sota, where did you get yours from? I have my eye on the   20070312 at Lowes . It's not the cheapest option out there, but does it has some positive reviews, plus they offer an extended warranty on it. I also like the fact that I can pick it up at the store and don't have to wait around all day while it's being delivered.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
David

Welcome! I have a MES 40 and really enjoy it. Be sure to join the forum group for MES users. Has been real helpful to read others addressing some issues I've run across.

U Smell Smoke?
