Hi all.

Got interested in smoking helping out a buddy at a couple of KCBS competitions.  Got a Masterbuilt propane smoker for my birthday, and then decided to re-invest some of the proceeds on the sale of my boat in a GMG Jim Bowie model.  Have done about a half dozen smokes on it so far.  All good, but would like a bit more smoke flavour.

Anyways, got some great ideas from this forum, so decided to join.

Butsman,
Welcome, from southern Ohio, to the best forum on the internet if you are looking to learn how to BBQ/smoke/brine/cure/inject. Well you get the picture if you can do it to something you put on a plate to eat then someone here has probably done it. Use the search bar at the top of the page and you will be led to the answer to most every question you can think of. If you don't find the answer there then just post it and someone will chime in with there opinion on the subject.
If you want more smoke on your GMG then I would recomend a AMNTS from A-MAZE-N Products. It is what I use in my Yoder pellet grill. It is a mesh tube that you put pellets in then light with a propane torch and place it in your grill. I have'nt tried it but they say it works well with gas/charcoal grills as well. They also sell a tray type smoker but it is not recomended for pellet grills. Todd the owner is a great guy and is a sponser/active member of this forum. All of Todd's products are top quality and their customer support is unbeatable. Here is a link to their page or you can find a link to their page under the Sponsors tab at the top of every page.
