Hello everybody. My name is Phil and I currently live in beautiful Washington state, where I am currently stationed with the Navy. I am about as much as a newbie to smoking as it gets. Just purchased a
Brinkmann Heavy Gauge Off-Set Smoker and Grill and am ready to get going. I'm currently in the process of moving from my current apartment to a house with a nice large backyard where I can really get going and really hone in on getting some experience. Hope to get my set up put together and assembled by this weekend and have a nice Labor Day weekend smoke out in the back!

Welcome to SMF Phil!  And thank you for your service!  I spent some time myself decades ago on a recruiting tour taking guys up to the Bangor sub base.  Man oh man, that's God's country up there.

Have fun with the new smoker and be sure to ask any questions that come up.  Lots of friendly folks with plenty of experience and answers.
