Howdy all,

I found out about this forum today from my son-in-law, duck killer 1, who had smoked some pork and fatties on the nifty new smoker he built and invited me out to do some taste-testing.

He, my daughter, my grandson and I sat at the dining room table and visited while watching the smoker working on ribs out on the deck. What a beautiful sight. And what a delicious meal we ate later. My wife wasn't feeling well enough to go visit today, so I brought home some of all three of the meats for her; what a treat that was.

OK, now I'm anxious to take this course and learn more and better techniques for smoking meats, as well as browsing through all the gardening and baking information. My smoking experience is limited to a Weber, so I have a lot to learn.

This looks like a terrific site. I hope to learn a lot and become an active participant in the discussions.

Regards,
RD, the Ozarks Boy
