Hello friends.  I'm Coop and live in Lubbock TX.  I acquired an Oklahoma Joes Longhorn smoker when a buddy moved out of town.  I actually used to help manufacture them in Stillwater OK in the late 90's.  I'm a rookie and look forward to the advise I know I will find here on the forum.

Welcome to the forum and I know you will find all the information you need (and then some) here.

Hi Coop...welcome aboard from NE Oklahoma!  Those Okie Joes are good pits...you'll turn out lots of great food on that rig.  You can browse around over in the charcoal and wood smokers forums for great ideas and tips on getting the most out of your pit...that's where the guys who have smokers similar to yours hang out.  You can find threads on mods, techniques, secrets, etc.

Good luck and happy smoking!
