Hello everyone

I'm new to smoking; my first (and only) effort was some years ago when I tried smoking some chicken breasts. They turned out ok; well, we ate them ... My 'smoker' consists of a wok lined with foil, and a three tiered bamboo steamer. i took the base out of one tier so it can hold a small chicken

I joined this site hoping to learn how to smoke bacon, chicken and sausages. Not overly ambitious but it's a start and I'm only cooking for two most of the time.

If all goes well I may purchase an Anuka smoker.

Looking forward to sharing my experiences and/or failures with you.

Alia, Welcome to SMF. You'll find lots of helpful information here.  Check out the Smoker forums and see what other folks use. The Anuka smoker is a great little table top smoker, but you'll find yourself severely limited (by size) on what you can smoke.

Not sure what you have availible to you down under, but if electric is the way you want to go, check out any of the Masterbuilt Electric Smokers (MES) as they come in both the 30 inch and 40 inch model.

Enjoy the Smoke!

Welcome to the SMF Mate. Glad to have you here. Lots of good folks, great recipes and knowledge. Looking forward to  your first qview.

Thank you all for your kind welcome.

I decided to start of real small in case I mess it up so there's now a piece of bellie pork brining in the fridge.    Will post the results when it's done.

I live in hope and have great expectations!!
