Howdy all!  Im an active duty USAF living in Okinawa for the past 10 years.  Being from Texas I have been around BBQ and Smoking most of my life but never had tried myself.  I recently got a MES 30" and came to this site to find some advice on a heat loss problem.  I look forward to hearing from all of you!

Welcome to the forums c2, Congrats on the new smoker, I know somebody will be able to help you out with your heat issue. My best friends son is shipping out your way Tuesday. He's a Marine crew chef on one of them cargo planes. Tell him I said hi

Kadena is awesome.  I am going to hate to leave it.  All total in my career I have been here 10 years.  There is a huge BBQ culture here among service members and expats.  I really will hate to leave it.
