Hi everybody!  Just wanted to stop by and say hi.  I love cooking and have been cooking and grilling for years BUTT I am total newb when it comes to smoking.  My wife and I have been talking about a smoker on and off for a couple of years, then we had our first party of the year a couple weeks ago.  A buddy of mine (who also told me about this site) brought over some awesome pulled pork.  Next thing I know the wife is giving me an Amazon gift card as an early birthday present so I can get a smoker!! 

I ordered up a 30" MES digital last week and am eagerly awaiting its arrival (it hasn't even shipped yet, ugh).

I've been browsing this site and have gotten a bit of information overload, lol.  So much to learn but should be a ton of fun!

Welcome to SMF!  I'm an original NY'er, born and brought up in Adams Center, NY (10 mi south of Watertown, NY, 30 mi from the 1000 Islands Bridge).  So glad you've ordered a smoker!  You're gonna love it!

Thanks for the welcome. You must have had some crazy winters there Pops! I'm in the lower Hudson Valley near Kingston so we don't get anywhere near the snow the Watertown area does!
