Hello all,

I have been grilling for years, and have grilled everything from beef, chicken and vegitables to fish. I have used Cedar Planks and Kabobs. Now I am getting ready to move into the realm of smoking meat.

I have friends who have barrel type smokers with side mount wood bins, but I am looking at all kinds of smokers to make sure I get the most out of my experience.

This looks like a forum full of experienced people, and am looking forward to the research to find my smoker.

Thanks,

BoneDaddy

Welcome to the SMF. Take your time on deciding on your first smoker... but remember that a lot of us usually add/upgrade to another at some point. It's all good my friend.

Take care, have fun, and do good!

Greetings from the south edge of Sedalia. Good to have another "Red Meat Survivor?" smoking the good stuff. Lets hope for better weather than today?

Glad you've joined us at SMF, BoneDaddy. Once you get your smoker picked out you'll be ready to fix some great grub! Sounds as if you've got some great experience on the grill but smoking meat is almost the exact opposite. Sign up for Jeff's free 5-day eCourse to get your tbs off to a jump start.

Welcome!!
