  1. Hello fellow smokers, I'm a new guy from MS. I heard about the forum from my brother, Texas Tiger. Y'all have a LOT more experience than I do and I look forward to learning some things. Being about three hours from Memphis, dry rubs have become my favorite. I got a Weber Smoky Mountain a few months ago and it has been a really good purchase for a newbie. My son and mother in law are coming over for Memorial Day so ribs are on the menu. Hope I don't disappoint...

To those who served, THANK YOU for your service and sacrifice. God Bless America!

Welcome, glad ya joined us ! That WSM is a great smoker ! Thumbs Up
  3. Welcome glad you joined. I myself have been using a 3-2-1 method on BB ribs. Start with a good rub then fire up the smoker to 225. First 3 hours in smoke. Then wrap separate in foil, you can add a little BBQ down the middle of the slab or small amount of apple juice, honey, and cinnamon mixed over a low heat. Then it's back in for 2 hours. Last 1 hour unwrapped back in smoker you can add more BBQ or Apple Honey mix. I use a can of Frozen Apple Juice ( water added) about a 1/3 cup of honey and about 2TBS cinnamon. Just heat on low the mix together. In the last hour you can glaze them with the rest of the mix. My family seemed to like them. Keep smoking LOW AND SLOW.
  4. Hello and welcome to the forum, Hope your ribs turned out, let us know.
