Hello,

Greetings from Louisville, KY area. I am not new to forums. I belong to a vrod forum and understand forum etiquette. Most importantly the vast amount of great information that is available. Thanks in advance...

I just received my first smoker for Christmas. A Masterbuilt Pro. I don't have any experience with using a smoker but, I am looking forward to the journey.

I wanted a smoker to make ribs in. I never really thought about all the other options I could use it for.

I will definitely have to spend days reading and learning the art of smoking from you guys.

Thanks for the warm welcome. My work schedule at the moment is a little full so it will be a few weeks before my first attempt at smoking some ribs. In the mean time I will season my smoker and do some more reading. Thanks again Mike
