Hello all!!

After many months of looking on this fantastic forum, I finally got around to becoming a member!! I currently have a Brinkman Smoke N Pit and basically all that has done is infect me with the curse that is smok'n good grub....and tick me off with temp controls.

As of late, I have been perusing the idea of a custom build, to begin entering the competition circuit, street side vendor, catering....who knows the opportunity that lies ahead. A good friend of mine has all the welding equipment, but between his work schedule, mine, family, solar eclipse, the end of the Myan calendar approaching soon.....I have been looking very very seriously at the Lang line of products and feel fairly confident that their cookers can help me achieve my dream and vision of success in this wacky world of smoking meats. My current vision is the Lang 84 backed with the Lang 60, triple sink, beer keg, chargrill up front, commercial grade fridge....all trailer mounted and city approved, but I think I may start a thread in the correct area to discuss this configuration.

I'm very excited to start building relationships and sharing ideas within the good group that makes SMF.

Cheers!!

. Your plans sound 'Grandiose' , but doable with the right plan and a lot of $$$.  Hope you can achieve it for yourself...

Until then , kick back and enjoy yourself , send Q-view of you and your stuff and , as always...

Thanks OldSchool,

I have been saving for some time and plan on selling a few pieces of equipment to accomplish the goal. Pretty close to pulling the trigger. I'm hoping to be fully functional by early spring. It gets cold and snowy here in Idaho.

There is just something that soothes the inner beast and primal function of being male....me make fire...me make meat. I have always been a huge fan of singular sports ie wrestling, boxing, since it is skill and craft of the sport making you a champion......or loser. Very much like perfecting the craft of delicious BBQ.

On a side note.....who can complain about anything and not have a smile on your face with a rib bone in your right hand? :sausage:

Cheers!!
Murphy
