Hi, I got a Char-Broil 1280 Smoker for Father's Day. I know it's not a top drawer piece of equipment but hopefully it is good enough to get started.
My biggest problem right now is finding inexpensive chunks of hardwood. Home Depot has some but the price is outrageous. Hopefully I can get a rick out in Amish country.
If any NE Ohio folks see this and have a good lead, please let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sarge, welcome to you.

Being from CNY I can't help you with the firewood thing.

It grows on trees around here

.

I heat my house with it.

OK, I'll be good.

Congratulations on that shiny new smoker.

Do try the Amish they will have all you need

without getting robbed at Home Despots.

Have fun.
