Good day all,
Just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm a self-employed 33 year old male, married, we have two daughters, 4 and 2 and an old trustworthy dog. I'm somewhat of an experienced beginner at smoking. My old boss smoked turkeys at Christmas for many of his customers as a year end "thanks for the business." I remember pulling our big desiel trucks into the shop after a long day of working out in the cold and over top of the smell of the desiel fumes was the smell of smoking turkeys. When I left that job I got my old bosses recipe and bought my Dad a propane vertical style smoker. We used it a bit. Last year I dug it out of my backyard garage and smoked up some salmon, pork sausage and some venson. I told some friends of mine and my old bosses son offered to buy this smoker from me for almost new price. So I ended up buying a new bbq, big enough to smoke in (the wife wanted a bbq more than a smoker, so we comprimised and I listened to her). I'm planning to smoke a small turkey before the end of March, schedule permitting.
I hope to learn lots from here and possible help any one I can.
Thanks
G.
